The Art & Science of Acupuncture is absolutely the best introductory book I have seen on acupuncture. From the first read, it gives a bird's eye view of what TCM and acupuncture is. Then it delves into the how's, why's and what's. The explanations are in-depth, the illustrations are cute! My patients absolutely love this book. This book (TASA) is an excellent summary of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It is written by a team of acupuncture experts. The best thing about this book is the way TASA relates TCM to concepts in Western medicine. I have never read anything before that was able to do that. It informed me of other aspects of TCM that I was not familiar with. It also explained why less acupuncture needles can be more effective than more. I frequently recommend acupuncture to friends or family who are struggling with a health issue. However, I can’t explain it to them effectively. TASA does so for me perfectly!
